Inmate Children Gift Giving Project
We start planning this project in early August. It takes many individuals and churches to make it happen. We will eventually receive over 100 requests for Christmas gifts of children whose Dads and Moms are behind bars. Please be praying if you or your church would like to be apart of this amazing outreach opportunity.
The main objective to this project is to share the gospel. The gifts are just a vehicle to get inside these families lives and homes. We also seek to establish relationships with the family members which for the most part have been fractured. Meals, food, and clothing have been used to bridge that gap.
The icing on the cake is when the volunteers take pics of the children opening their gifts which will eventually be sent back to the Dads and Moms in prison. When they receive these pics, they are overjoyed knowing that their children have been taken care of.

Reaching the inmate families and their children with Christmas gifts on behalf of their incarcerated Dads and Moms.
Action
Contacting the inmate’s
family and setting up a personal visit. Getting to know them while
discerning the needs in the home. Sharing the gospel message while
delivering the Christmas gifts.
Outcome
Building bridges and helping strengthen relationships that have been broken. Helping restore families and children to their incarcerated loved one.

It has been our joy to serve with OFPL as board members and visiting with our youth group and then ourselves at Trenton State and Rahway through the years. We have participated in Angel tree and were blessed to do several deliveries on behalf of incarcerated dads.
I, Pat, taught Bible study along with Debbie at Freehold County Jail. Our greatest blessing is to have true relationships with our brothers who though behind bars, were growing in Christ. They became our friends and encouraged us as many times as we tried to encourage them.
