"An Inside Perspective"

May 2006

My dear family in Christ,

Ever-precious greetings in the name of our LORD Jesus Christ! It has been my observation over the last few years that many people from foreign countries are pressing their way into the USA. Despite all of our faults as a nation, and there are many, we remain a beacon of freedom, offering the most opportunity in the world. We are indeed a country of immigrants, people from every corner of the world, melded into one nation. Many ethnic groups have come here for many different reasons, some willingly, and unfortunately, others unwillingly. A better life convoked our forefathers, and still today, people from all over the world dream of a superior life for their families in the USA.

As a nation, the rule of law that we espouse has been our standard for many generations. We have fallen short many times; yet, we still aspire toward that lofty goal set before us in our Constitution. I liken it to my walk in the Lord. I am growing, learning, and maturing daily as the Lord shapes me. I have failed the Lord more times than I care to admit, yet by His grace, I am aiming at that lofty goal of perfection set before me in His Word - - -it is ever my longing.

The problem arises when people disregard our rule of law and enter into this nation by their own methods. That is called illegal immigration. On the contrary, there are thousands and thousands of people, from all countries, on waiting lists to enter this country legally. They are going through the time consuming procedures required, jumping through all the hoops as it were, to get into this nation properly. They are following the rule of law as their first step toward being law-abiding citizens. The immigration process is a long one. It takes years. These are a variety of background checks that one must walk through and sundry red-tape that must be traversed, before finally, one may become a legal citizen. It is well worth it.

I am not making light of the needs and desires of those who seek to come here illegally. They are real and many faceted. Yet, they are disregarding this countries rule of laws as their very first act, and more so, completely disrespecting the people who are waiting in line to come here legally.

Have you ever been in line at the supermarket or perhaps at the movies and someone just sneaks in front of you? Do you remember the indignation that arose in your heart because of that disrespect? Of course you do. You were appalled that someone would have the gall to cut in front of "you" after you patiently waited according to the rules. All Americans are for legal immigration. Most Americans are opposed to illegal immigration.

Illegal immigration has consequences. If you are caught, you may very well be deported- - - thrown out of the country by force. If you are not caught, you will have to live your whole life in a lie. You will have to live in the shadows, flying under the radar, always looking for who may "find you out."

In a similar fashion, it has been my observation that many people are pressing their way illegally into the Kingdom of God, or so they think. Despite all of our faults as believers, the gospel message of salvation offers the only freedom from the forgiveness of sins. The Kingdom of God is made up of immigrants from all over the world, melded into one body, the bride of Christ. It is written, "After this I beheld, and lo, a great multitude that no man could number, of all nations and kindreds and people and tongues stood before the throne and before the Lamb . . ."

People come to Christ, as He calls, from many countries, but all, come under His rule of law. It is written, "I am the way, the truth and the life and no man comes to the Father but through Me." That is the rule of law for God's Kingdom. It is not an option. There are not many ways to God. You cannot sneak into the Kingdom. The devil's ecumenical doctrine says, "God is only love." Therefore, people think they can press into the Kingdom of God any old way they please. It is a lie from the pit of hell!

Muslims, Mormons, Catholics, Jehovah's Witness', etc., are all spiritual illegal immigrants bearing false gospels. They have disregarded the Lord's first rule of law. Jesus said, "I Am the door . . . He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber." Spiritual illegal immigration has eternal consequences. On judgment day, all spiritual illegal immigrants will be tracked down by the rule of God's law and forcefully deported into the lake of fire. You had better cast those works overboard buster and cling to that cross, because the Lord will "find you out."

Please do not misunderstand me. I am not making light of the needs of illegals, spiritually or physical, on the contrary, I write you because of their needs. They are deceived and unless you tell them---spiritual deportation will be their lot!

Joyfully in Jesus,
Love Philip
